Vision 2033 in Japan: Leaders Unite to Strengthen Gospel Collaboration Across Asia
As the global Church looks toward 2033—the 2,000th anniversary of Christ’s death, resurrection, and the birth of the Church—Christian leaders around the world are finding new ways to work together so that every person has the opportunity to hear the gospel.
That spirit of collaboration was on display this spring in Tokyo during the invitation-only VISION2033 Dinner, hosted by 7Media.org in partnership with Finishing the Task and Palau.
Held around Pentecost, the bilingual (English/Japanese) gathering brought together pastors, ministry leaders, media innovators, and evangelistic organizations to pray together, share a common vision for Japan and Asia, and explore practical ways to accelerate gospel impact through partnership.
A Shared Vision for 2033
The evening built on the momentum of the Asia Strategic Media Forum held in Tokyo in 2025 and highlighted how collaboration across ministries can help make the fullness of the gospel accessible to people throughout Japan.
Dr. Lisa Pak of Finishing the Task shared “The Five Key Dimensions of Vision 2033,” inviting leaders to see the coming years as a unique opportunity for greater unity, prayer, and cooperation as the global Church approaches this historic milestone.
Additional presentations equipped attendees with practical resources for evangelism and discipleship. Ben Jack of Advance Groups and the Palau organization shared strategies for reaching people through peer mentoring and understanding different evangelism styles, while Andy Game of Fuelled by Hope highlighted new opportunities to multiply gospel impact through media, technology, and the Rhythm of Missions initiative.
Throughout the evening, one message remained clear: no single ministry can accomplish the Great Commission alone. By working together, the Church can multiply its impact and bring the hope of Christ to more people than ever before.
New Gospel Resources for Japan
One of the highlights of the gathering was hearing updates from Japanese ministry leaders about new opportunities to share the gospel through the 5Bs—five key pathways that help people experience the fullness of the gospel in their own heart language and cultural context.
These growing resources include:
- Bible Films – The Chosen Season 5 is now available on Netflix in Japan, creating new opportunities for people to encounter the life of Jesus through compelling storytelling.
- Body of Christ – The Alpha Youth platform is now available in Japanese, helping churches disciple and engage the next generation.
- Believers Sharing Their Stories – TheGoodNews.jp features authentic testimonies from everyday Japanese believers, sharing hope through culturally relevant stories.
- Bridges of Love – JesusLoves.jp serves as a growing online hub connecting people with ministries, gospel resources, and opportunities to explore faith.
- Breakthrough Prayer – PrayYamanote.com continues to mobilize believers to pray for Tokyo and the nation through initiatives like Pray Around the Palace, calling Christians to seek God’s blessing over Japan.

Together, these initiatives demonstrate how media, technology, local churches, and ministry partnerships can work hand in hand to help more people encounter Jesus.
Expanding the Vision Across Asia
The event also marked the launch of a newly expanded Vision2033.org homepage for Asia, highlighting collaborative efforts in Japan and twelve never-reached nations.
Additional language hubs are already in development, including a Thai launch planned for the next Asia Strategic Media Forum in Bangkok. While local teams continue developing heart-language resources, the platform is already helping connect ministries and gospel resources across the region.
The broader Vision 2033 initiative seeks to strengthen collaboration among organizations including Finishing the Task, JC2033, the World Evangelical Alliance, Lausanne, Palau, and many others who share a common desire to see every nation reached with the hope of Christ.
Journeying Together Toward 2033
The years leading up to 2033 present an extraordinary opportunity for the global Church.
As more gospel resources become available in local languages, as ministries work together rather than separately, and as believers unite in prayer and evangelism, the vision of every person having access to the gospel comes into sharper focus.
Events like the VISION2033 gathering in Japan remind us that collaboration is not just a strategy; it’s a reflection of the unity Christ prayed for and a powerful witness to the world.
