THE SEND Brazil 2026: A Generation Mobilized for the Great Commission
January 31, 2026 marked a powerful mobilization moment for the Great Commission as an estimated 300,000 young adults gathered across Brazil for The Send Brazil 2026—a nationwide commissioning that awakened a generation and called them to live sent.
Across Brazil, young believers packed out venues, joining thousands more online, in a unified, 12-hour call to worship, repentance, discipleship, and action. The event spanned five stadiums in five regions — Recife (Northeast), Belém (North), Belo Horizonte (Southeast), Goiânia (Central-West), and Curitiba (South).
The lineup for 2026 included more than 180 worship leaders and speakers rotating through the stadiums, blending powerful worship and teaching throughout the day. The focus was clear: helping every believer understand that the Christian life is not meant to be observed from the sidelines, but invested in the mission of Jesus.
Revival Before Mobilization
The week leading into THE SEND was marked by multiple Revival Nights held across Brazil, creating spiritual momentum well before the stadium gatherings began. These nights of worship, repentance, and evangelistic preaching were designed to prepare hearts—especially among young people—to respond fully to the call of the Great Commission.
On Friday night, January 30, Finishing the Task’s Pastor Rick Warren joined one of these gatherings in Recife, speaking at Igreja do Amor Church as part of the nationwide revival emphasis. Similar revival-focused meetings were held in other cities connected to THE SEND movement, reinforcing a shared conviction: mobilization must be rooted in renewal.
Addressing a room filled with young adults, Pastor Rick reminded them that revival is not something we manufacture, but rather something that begins when we rediscover how deeply we are loved by God.
“Only changed people can change the world,” he said. “Our hearts must be revived before we can share the good news with the whole world.”
These Revival Nights served as a spiritual on-ramp to Saturday’s nationwide mobilization—calling a generation first to be renewed in God’s love, and then to be sent in his mission.
One Day. One Message. Many Cities.
On Saturday, January 31, THE SEND unfolded as a one-day, 12-hour mobilization across multiple Brazilian stadiums at the same time. The program was intentionally segmented, guiding participants from worship and teaching toward personal decision, discipleship, and commissioning.
Pastor Rick spoke live twice in one day—first in Recife on Saturday morning, then traveling to Belo Horizonte to speak again Saturday night, addressing two different stadiums filled with young adults eager to respond to Jesus’ call.
In Recife, he reminded the crowd that life’s greatest question is not how to spend your life—but where to invest it.
“You’ve got three choices: waste your life, spend your life, or invest your life,” he said. “The greatest use of your life is to invest it in something that will outlast it.”
He pointed them back to the heart of the Great Commission: caring about what God cares about most—his lost children being found.
From Disciples to Disciple-Makers
In Belo Horizonte, Pastor Rick built on that foundation by unpacking Jesus’ model of discipleship—showing how Christ patiently called people from curiosity to commitment, and ultimately to the cross.
“If you’re going to be a follower of Christ, you have to learn how to make disciples,” he said. “You must make disciples.”
He challenged leaders and young believers alike to move beyond measuring church growth by numbers alone, and instead ask whether people are truly growing in spiritual depth and obedience.
A Moment of Commissioning
One of the most striking moments of THE SEND Brazil came during a nationwide commissioning. Across stadiums, attendees were instructed to remove their shoes and hold them up—a visual declaration that they were ready to go wherever God would send them.
It was a simple but powerful symbol: beautiful feet willing to carry the good news to friends, neighborhoods, campuses, cities, and nations.
As Pastor Rick reminded them earlier in the day, “Just as the Father sent me, I am sending you.”
Participants were encouraged to say “DIGA SIM” (Say Yes) to a variety of mission fields including:
- 41,214 people who said yes to Biblical Engagement
- 34,671 people who said yes to Missions
- 12,258 people said yes to the cause of Orphans and Vulnerable Children
A Glimpse of What’s Possible
What happened in Brazil was a vivid picture of what becomes possible when the global Church stops spectating and starts mobilizing. Thousands of young adults left stadiums with a renewed understanding of God’s love—and a clear call to live sent.
For Finishing the Task, it was another encouraging sign that momentum toward fulfilling the Great Commission—by everyone, everywhere—is not only growing, but accelerating.
“Here am I,” Isaiah said. “Send me.”
In Brazil this past month, tens of thousands echoed that prayer.
