Director of Messaging
Job Title: Director of Messaging (CMO)
Overview: The Director of Messaging will be responsible for promoting awareness of FTT’s mission and goals globally. The ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful messaging strategies across a variety of platforms. The Director of Messaging will work closely with partners and stakeholders to communicate progress and challenges, manage the media, and promote the establishment of ongoing worship, ministry, discipleship, evangelism, and mission classes in every local church.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive messaging strategy that promotes FTT’s mission and goals globally
• Create channels to get the message out, including social media, YouTube, websites, podcasts, daily email devotions, backs of bulletins each week, and targeted newsletters to various subgroups
• Communicate regularly with partners and stakeholders, reporting progress and challenges
• Help partners communicate their work and promote the establishment of ongoing worship, ministry, discipleship, evangelism, and mission classes in every local church
• Manage the media and promote stories of impact and transformation to inspire and encourage Christians to get involved
• Collaborate with Christian media outlets to raise awareness and mobilize Christians around the world
• Build rewards and recognition into the movement, creating ways to honor individuals, churches, denominations, and organizations on at least an annual basis
• Celebrate progress and successes, promoting unity and building community
• Inspire creative projects, provide motivation, mobilize for action, and keep everyone up-to-date by sharing information
• Create new channels that do not currently exist to promote FTT’s mission and goals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role developing and implementing successful messaging strategies across a variety of platforms
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence partners and stakeholders
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Creative thinker with a passion for developing new messaging channels and strategies
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to track and measure the effectiveness of messaging strategies
• Experience managing media relations and crisis communications
• Passion for FTT’s mission and goals, with a commitment to promoting unity and building community within the Christian faith.
