Many Christians want to serve in global missions, but time, resources and logistics often prevent active involvement. At the same time, missionaries worldwide face challenges that require professional skills they may not have, such as marketing, technology and financial management.

Virtual missions provides a way for believers to use their skills remotely to support missionaries, ministries and organizations around the world. Through virtual collaboration, churches can engage more members in meaningful global impact—without the limitations of travel or fundraising.

To bridge this gap, Switchboard , in collaboration with Christar and Pioneers, is launching the Virtual Missions Kit, a resource designed to help churches introduce and implement virtual missions programs.

Equipping Churches to Mobilize Their Congregations for Virtual Missions

The Virtual Missions Kit provides everything church leaders—missions pastors, senior pastors and missions committee members—need to equip their congregations for global impact. The kit includes:

  • Guides and engagement strategies to introduce virtual missions to leadership and church members.
  • Presentation and launch materials, including ready-to-use slides, handouts and explainer videos.
  • The Switchboard skill assessment to help believers discover and apply their unique gifts to global ministry.
  • Ongoing support and community through specialists, FAQs and a network of churches engaged in virtual missions.

“Switchboard’s Virtual Missions Kit changes how we think about mobilizing people toward the Great Commission,” said Keaton Koch, pastor of mobilization at Grace Covenant Church of Austin. “This resource helps churches remove traditional barriers to missions involvement, allowing more believers to contribute their skills in meaningful ways.”
