Pray for the Next Generation During Collegiate Day of Prayer — February 26, 2026
A Call to Pray for the Next Generation on Every Campus
On Thursday, February 26, 2026, believers around the world will unite for the Collegiate Day of Prayer — a global, multi-generational movement of prayer for revival and spiritual awakening on college and university campuses everywhere.
For over 200 years, this special day has been a powerful moment for the Church to intercede for the hearts and lives of the next generation. Beginning in the early 19th century, Christians made the last Thursday of February a dedicated day to pray for students, faculty, and the spiritual future of campuses. Today, that tradition has grown into a worldwide wave of prayer that spans thousands of schools and reaches into every nation.
In 2026, the event will be hosted live from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, with a simulcast gathering believers in prayer across local churches, homes, small groups, and student communities.
Why This Matters for the Great Commission
College campuses are more than centers of academic learning — they’re pivotal arenas where worldviews are shaped, leaders are formed, and the future of society takes shape. What happens there impacts not only individuals, but communities and nations. And right now, there is a hunger for Jesus among students that echoes historic moves of spiritual renewal. Students and believers have reported increased hunger for God, deeper prayer, and powerful encounters that lead to life-change and transformation on campuses.
Join the Global Prayer Moment: Adopt a Campus in Prayer
One of the most impactful ways you can participate is by adopting college campuses in prayer.
Here’s how it works:
- Pick three campuses to pray for — one near your home, one close to your heart, and one in another part of the world.
- Commit to intercede for students, faculty, ministries, and spiritual awakening on those campuses throughout the day.
- Pray alone, with family, with your church, or with a prayer group — but pray with the confidence that your petitions matter.
As of now, thousands of campuses have already been adopted — but many more still need believers to stand in the gap in prayer.
Many believers have also joined a 40-day season of prayer and fasting leading up to Feb. 26 to prepare their hearts and commit deeply to the spiritual needs of students.
