Brazilian Leaders Commissioned to Finish the Task

Forty-six influential pastors and ministry leaders from across Brazil gathered in Southern California at Saddleback Church’s San Juan Capistrano campus for the FTT Brazilian Leaders Summit—a landmark moment in mobilizing the Brazilian church toward completing the Great Commission by 2033.

“It was incredible,” said Pastor Rick Warren, who led portions of the training. “These were megachurch pastors who came from all over Brazil—a country of 212 million people.”

The two-day summit was filled with powerful teaching, collaboration, and a deep sense of commissioning. According to Hector Tamez, who leads Finishing the Task’s efforts across Latin America, “We’re just wrapping up a wonderful, wonderful conference… a summit with Brazilian pastors from all over Brazil. Forty-six of them came down to Rancho Capistrano, and we are thrilled with the commissioning that just happened.”

That commissioning marked more than the close of a gathering—it was a launching point. “They’re excited to go back to Brazil and get FTT going 100%,” Hector shared. “They’re in love with the vision.”

Among those attending were leaders such as Pastor Felipe Levak and Pastor Julio Cesar Vertullo, who have already begun sharing what they learned with their churches and ministry teams back home. The ripple effect is already being felt as these pastors multiply the vision in their own networks.

“This is just the beginning,” Hector said with joy. “We hope you join us as well—be part of this movement that’s taking hold of nations, pastors, and leaders in congregations across the globe.”

As these leaders return home, they carry with them renewed passion and shared purpose around the FTT goals: Bibles, Believers, Bodies of Christ, Breakthrough Prayer, and Bridges of Love for everyone, everywhere. The Brazilian church is rising to play its part—mobilizing believers and multiplying healthy churches as the world moves closer to 2033.
