At FTT, we want to serve as an information exchange, helping connect individuals, churches, and organizations with the resources they need to serve on mission in their spheres of influence and fulfill the Great Commission in their context.
That’s why we are excited to share the launch of The Hyphenated Community, a new resource dedicated to uplifting and empowering individuals who navigate the complexities of mixed cultural heritages. This program speaks to second-generation immigrants, missionary kids, and third culture kids who often find themselves living between worlds.
The Hyphenated Community provides a space for individuals to embrace their unique identities with confidence, rooted in Christ-centered living. Our presenters, all of whom are young adult Christians from diverse backgrounds, share inspiring stories and practical guidance to help members live confidently in their mixed cultural heritage.
As a free member, you can gain access to a wealth of resources, including:
- Esther: The Hyphenated Hero: Discover the story of Esther, a courageous young woman who navigated the challenges of living between cultures to fulfill God’s purpose for her life.
- Kindred Community Video Series: Launching September 24, this series features voices of belonging and hope from second-generation leaders, offering encouragement and insight into living as a “Hyphen.”
- Blossoming in Hyphenated Soil: Practical steps and resources for resilient living, especially tailored for second-generation immigrants and those who support them.
- Small Group Facilitators Community: Engage with weekly content through discussion guides, and join a network of facilitators dedicated to serving the Hyphenated Community.
Whether you’re a parent, pastor, or a Hyphen yourself, this community could serve you. Check out https://www.immigrantministry.com/thehyphenated and join us in celebrating the unique, God-given gifts of being “Mixed, Not Confused.”
