A Milestone for the B:Believers Goal -
Global Evangelism Leaders Unite
On August 26–27, 2025, leaders from across the global body of Christ gathered in Minneapolis for the Evangelism Roundtable. This historic two-day summit brought together senior representatives from more than a dozen influential evangelism movements—including Finishing the Task, the GO Movement, Baptist World Alliance, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Evangelism Explosion, Every Home for Christ, Jesus Film/Cru, YWAM, and more.
What made the gathering so significant was not just the diversity of traditions, denominations, and generations represented, but the shared passion that bound everyone together: the conviction that every believer must be equipped and engaged in personally sharing the Gospel until every nation is reached with the good news of Jesus Christ.
The Evangelism Covenant
The highlight of the Roundtable was the signing of the Evangelism Roundtable Covenant, a bold declaration of unity and shared mission to accelerate gospel engagement around the world. The covenant affirms three commitments:
- 100 Million Lifestyle Witnesses – mobilizing believers everywhere to share Christ personally.
- Activating Pentecost – uniting prayer, evangelism, and worship as the heartbeat of mission.
- Every Country Roundtables – fostering national-level collaboration to multiply gospel impact.
“This covenant represents more than words on paper—it is a commitment of heart and action,” said Werner Nachtigal of the GO Movement. “We believe that together, in prayerful dependence on God, we can see the nations reached in this generation.”
By signing, leaders pledged to pray together, collaborate through shared strategies, measure progress collectively, and encourage one another as they seek to normalize faith-sharing in every corner of the world.
A Milestone in Collective Mission
For those of us striving toward the vision of Finishing the Task, this moment is a significant milestone in our journey toward the B: Believers goal for 2033. Our aim is that by the 2000th anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus, every person will have heard a personal testimony from a believer.
The commitments affirmed in Minneapolis move us closer to that vision. Mobilizing 100 million lifestyle witnesses means raising up ordinary believers—not just pastors or missionaries—to step into their calling as everyday evangelists. Establishing national roundtables ensures that this work is carried out in context, led by local leaders who know their people and culture best. Uniting prayer, worship, and witness keeps us rooted in the Spirit’s power, rather than human strength.
Describing the spirit of the gathering, Dave Gibson of the Global Alliance for Church Multiplication quoted Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: “If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.” The Roundtable embodied that same yearning—for Jesus to be known to the ends of the earth.
Looking Toward 2033
This moment is a significant milestone toward FTT’s “B: Believers” goal for 2033. Our vision is that every person on earth will hear a personal testimony from a believer by the 2000th anniversary of the resurrection of Jesus. The covenant signed in Minneapolis is a tangible step in that direction—uniting diverse networks to normalize faith-sharing worldwide.
By praying together, collaborating on strategy, and measuring collective progress, these global leaders have committed to mobilizing believers everywhere to share the hope of Christ. It is a powerful reminder that the task is not finished, but together, the global Church is pressing forward in bold witness until every person hears.
