The message of Finishing the Task reaches leaders across the globe through a series of events in South Korea
The 2024 Lausanne Congress
At the start of October FTT went to South Korea for a series of gatherings focused on the Great Commission. The first was the 4th Lausanne Congress in Incheon, South Korea – a gathering of over 5k missional pastors, missionaries, and organizations dreaming together about how to reach the world.
Pastor Rick hosted a packed-out FTT breakout where he rallied ministry leaders from across the globe to the call of FTT and reminded them that their ministry matters to God.
Pastor Rick was also the closing session speaker for Lausanne where he managed to squeeze 10 key thoughts on what we must do to finish the task into a 10-minute time allotment! You can watch that full session here.
Sarang Church in Seoul, South Korea
Following the Lausanne Congress, Pastor Rick preached at Sarang Church in Seoul, a Korean megachurch. His message focused on staying resilient when faced with discouragement in the pursuit of the Great Commission. Check out his sermon here.
That service was followed by an afternoon session at Sarang called “What is Finishing the Task?” (check it out here). Over 12,000 listened live, with fervent youth prayers marking the event, now viral on Instagram with nearly 60k likes!
Billion Soul Harvest in Pyeongchang
The journey concluded at Billion Soul Harvest in Pyeongchang, where Pastor Rick addressed a 500-person gathering of international mission practitioners, including many FTT allies. He was honored for his commitment to the Great Commission, taking the opportunity to remind everyone, “It’s not about you.” You can watch that here.
